Today was the first full day where I knew without a doubt that I was pregnant. Hmmm. Maybe that's all I should say.
Well Casey and I found out how to use a pregnancy test...after two tries and one extremely awkward trip to Walmart. Who wants to be seen by people you know looking at options for pregnancy tests. Haha. We threw one in our basket and then covered with some plastic pencil pouch in case someone might look in the basket. Checking out was even awkward. I mean hello, what are you supposed to say when you are scanning somebody's pregnancy test. The three of us, Casey, me and the checker lady just stood there in solemn silence. She just looked down and made no expression whatsoever which, characteristic of me, made me snort into the back of Casey's shirt trying not to laugh. Then Casey started making up excuses for why I was laughing. Okay enough said about the shopping trip.
We finally just got the digital one that says either "pregnant" or "not pregnant", so we wouldn't get confused with all the weird lines, pluses, minus, ect. So needless to say our digital friend declared my body to be pregnant. Casey was ecstatic! No one's suprised there. I on the other hand sat on the toilet wondering how a digital stick could deliver that kind of life changing verdict.
So after I pulled myself and my pants up, Casey (he's so much like my dad) insured that this moment would never be forgotten. I thought I had seen all I needed to see of that pregnancy test, but nope, I was then made to hold it out like it just told me I had won a million dollars while Casey snapped away digitilizing this moment forever!
After the initial shock of knowing that my life would once again be turned completely upside down, and in addition my body was going to become a life giving balloon...Casey and I are adjusting to the idea that either Carter Casey, or Kyrie lynn Tindall will be joining our family in approximately nine months!
Thank you for sharing this moment
